Hello from Ms. Herrmann!!
Hi everyone!
It is common to hear middle school educators say, "We never have a dull day!" Today was certainly no exception! We ended our day with a power outage! Despite the disruption, our students did an excellent job remaining in their classrooms until we planned and coordinated transitions. Thankfully, the power was restored within about 40 minutes. Thank you to our incredible custodial staff and buildings and grounds for helping us fix this unexpected situation!
We would also like to take a moment to recognize our wonderful custodial staff on this special day of appreciation. We are truly grateful for all that you do each day to make Walsh a cleaner, safer, and welcoming place for our students and staff. Your hard work and dedication are great appreciated!!!
Just a reminder, Session 1 Clubs begin next week. Clubs run Monday through Wednesday from 3:00-4:30pm. Families should have received notification from the Flyers After School Program indicating whether their child is enrolled in a club or has been placed on a waiting list.
I wish you and your family a wonderful weekend. We hope to see you at Framingham Fest tomorrow!
-Beth
"The beauty of literature is you allow readers to see things through other people's eyes.
All good books do this."

Cell Phones/Smart Watches and Non-School Authorized Electronic Devices
To promote student learning and mental health, and to reduce distractions during the school day, cell phones/smart watches and other non-school authorized electronic devices may not be used at any time during school hours. Limiting device use helps create a more focused learning environment and can improve students’ well-being by reducing social media usage during the school day.
If a parent/guardian chooses to send their child to school with a cell phone/smartwatch or other non-school authorized electronic device, it must be turned off and stored in the student’s backpack or locker.
Any cell phone/smart watch or non-school authorized device seen or used during the school day will be confiscated by staff, and parents/guardians will be notified. The device will be returned to the student at the end of the day.
Repeated violations will result in the device being held in the office until a parent/guardian meets with administration to pick it up.
When it is necessary to get an important message to your child during the school day, please call the main office and leave a message with the school secretary.
