Hello from Ms. Herrmann!!

We had a great week at Walsh!! It was wonderful for me to participate in multiple SEL (Social Emotional Learning) lessons throughout the week. It was great to see students collaborating with each other and having fun in the classrooms. I learned some new games that I hope to play with our staff in the future!

A quick 'shout-out' to ALL of the students...you are doing a GREAT job remembering to wear your Student ID badges! Keep up the great work!!!

I am still looking for School Council members. Please email me if you are interested in joining the School Council and/or if you have any questions.

I wish you and your family a wonderful long weekend,

Beth

Cell Phones/Smart Watches and Non-School Authorized Electronic Devices

To promote student learning and mental health, and to reduce distractions during the school day, cell phones/smart watches and other non-school authorized electronic devices may not be used at any time during school hours. Limiting device use helps create a more focused learning environment and can improve students’ well-being by reducing social media usage during the school day.

If a parent/guardian chooses to send their child to school with a cell phone/smartwatch or other non-school authorized electronic device, it must be turned off and stored in the student’s backpack or locker.

Any cell phone/smart watch or non-school authorized device seen or used during the school day will be confiscated by staff, and parents/guardians will be notified. The device will be returned to the student at the end of the day.

Repeated violations will result in the device being held in the office until a parent/guardian meets with administration to pick it up.

When it is necessary to get an important message to your child during the school day, please call the main office and leave a message with the school secretary.
