Student End of Year Expectations
Grades 6–8 end-of-year activities at Walsh are essential events designed to celebrate the year. Students in grades 6, 7, and 8 must meet minimum requirements to fully participate in available grade-level end-of-year activities. Students who do not meet these requirements risk losing the privilege of participating.
Attendance - Students must meet minimum attendance requirements:
18 or more unexcused absences during the year may result in the loss of end-of-year activities.
Excessive tardies during the year that have not been resolved through the SST/School Discipline process may result in the loss of end-of-year activities.
Students must attend and be on time for all classes.
Behavior - Students must maintain reasonable behavior. Infractions may include (but are not limited to):
Accumulation of 5 or more office referrals from May through June
Accrual of two or more days of suspension from May through June.
Committing an act or acts that, in the collective opinion of the administration and middle school staff, warrant disqualification from one or more of the promotion activities.
Additionally, teaching staff, with the concurrence of the administration, may disqualify a student from participating in one or more activities when, in their opinion, the student poses a safety issue to themselves or others.

Please listen to and follow directions from Walsh staff when addressed, as they are there to support students and families and keep traffic moving efficiently.
