Lost and Found - Please label your child’s coats with their name.

We recently donated more than twenty unclaimed sweatshirts and jackets. Adding your child’s name inside their clothing helps us return lost items to their rightful owners. Thank you for your support!

8th Grade Keefe Tech Visit

Dear Parents/Guardians of Eighth Grade Students:

In preparation for high school transition, all 8th grade students will visit Keefe Technical High School on Friday, November 14, 2025. We will explore Keefe’s four-year academic and career-focused programs in Framingham. During the visit, students will watch presentations, tour the campus, and explore vocational programs. If you or your child would like more information about Keefe, please visit www.keefetech.org

Permission slips were given to students during homeroom, and a link to the online permission slip was sent out last Friday.

Students participating in the field trip will be out of the building from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM. If you do not want your child to attend this field trip, they will be with a substitute during that time.

Students participating in the field trip will eat lunch prior to departing for Keefe.

For any further questions, please message Ms. Segura (guidance secretary) or Mrs. Shaffer (8th-grade guidance counselor)

Thank you,

Parent Teacher Home Visit Program - Improving our Relationships with Families!

Dear Families:

Families and educators often want the same thing for students – to learn and thrive in school. The Parent Teacher Home Visits Program (PTHVP) seeks to build the partnerships between parents and educators that are essential to providing quality education to all students, regardless of their race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, immigration status, or ability.

PTHV is a completely voluntary program for educators and families in Framingham. Before their first home visit, educators who elect to participate in PTHV are trained by both educators and parents about how to respectfully and authentically engage with families. A key aspect of this training is ensuring that families and educators are meeting each other as equal partners in their student’s education.

Caregivers and educators come together in homes or at other mutually agreed-upon locations. Educators will visit in teams of two, and interpreters can be provided, if necessary. This is not a caregiver conference. Please know that you may be contacted by your child’s teacher to participate in one of these brief (30-40-minute) home visits.

Consistent with Framingham Public Schools’ mission, vision, and 2023-2030 Strategic Plan objectives, district leadership and the Framingham Teachers Association (FTA) have partnered in this important community outreach effort since 2017. Since its inception, our program has grown from 23 trained teachers visiting 36 families to a total of 335 trained teachers and over 834 families!

For more information and to get involved, please visit the FPS websiteWe are excited about this expanding relationship-building effort, and we look forward to meeting more of our families in the year ahead!

Very truly yours,

Bob Tremblay

🚗 Walsh Pick-Up & Drop-Off Reminder 🚗

Dear Walsh Families,

Our staff’s number one priority is the safety of all children during arrival and dismissal. To help us keep things running smoothly and safely, please remember to:

  • Drive slowly and carefully through the school zone.

  • Follow staff directions at all times.

  • Use designated areas for drop-off and pick-up.

  • Stay in your vehicle during pick-up and drop-off.

  • Be kind and patient with other drivers—we’re all here for the same reason.

  • Avoid distractions, such as cell phone use, while in the car line.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation. Together, we can make drop-off and pick-up safe and respectful for everyone.
